Two brief things:
1. I’ve been published in print, for the first time ever. Check out The Expeditioner’s new book, The Expeditioner’s Guide to the World. I’m on page 66 with a story about my France romance and the kangaroo I ate there. Delicious.
2. I went to a cookie exchange tonight. I mostly stood around being awkward while older ladies chatted up a storm. I drank some alcoholic eggnog and became a little tipsy while the others eyed me warily. Then I stuffed my Tupperware container with 300 different kinds of sweets and went home happy.

First of all – CONGRATS! Print is awesome. And you deserve to be published.
Second of all – That cookie landscape is so beautiful I may shed a tear.
