Alright, I’m late getting started with BlogHer’s #NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), but I dig having some writing prompts to get ThatsTangly back on its feet. Plus I’m lazy as shit, and home in Bay d’Espoir for an undetermined amount of time, so it’s either blog excessively or play the one-string guitar my brother just found.

God I’ve missed untravel blogging.

Anyway, since I missed the first few days, here are the prompts thus far.

What is your favourite part about writing?

The release and response. I never feel satisfied until the story is out of me.

I also believe all writers are inherently selfish and like seeing how others respond to their work. No? Just me?

If you knew that whatever you ate next would be your last meal, what would you want it to be?

Mustang Sally nachos. I suspect I will never have such a nacho experience again, and it is as if my life is already over.

Can you listen to music and write? What song did you hear today?

Nope, I need total silence and zero distractions, which probably explains my lack of productivity lately. The last song I listened to was “Bandages” by Hey Rosetta! You should listen. Listen listen listen.

When you are writing, do you prefer to use a pen or a computer?

COMPUTER. But pen for notes. I simply cannot use my phone or any other digital device for note-taking. Long live the Moleskin journal.

Well that was delightful! Time to get back to eating Doritos. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s prompt, maybe I’ll have something intelligent to say. But chances are no.

I don’t know if “selfish” is the proper word for that… ;)
I’m not on the moleskin bandwagon. . . but definitely pens for notes for life. I have tried twice to seitch to digital for my schedule… DO NOT WANT. i need my paper day planner for all manner of note scribbling…

    wish i had some doritos…

Not sure why my favourite part of this was “Time to get back to eating Doritos.” Wahahahaaa.

  3. Candice says:

Maggie, I just like the Moleskins because they’re so pretentious.

Nashe, did you get a new blog?!

  4. Teacher Girl says:

I agree, all writers want a response to their work, even when they think they don’t.

  5. I vote for more untravel blogging. We miss you!
